How the David character was made

Funding Progress:

The goal is to create a cutting-edge gameplay experience that will make you experience the stories of the Bible in a completely new way. It will be true to the Bible. Thanks for being part of that vision! You're awesome.

Music:

Story: 

The sun is setting on the era of the judges. The last judge, Samuel, travels to Bethlehem in secret. There, he is to meet the hope of his nation; a teenage shepherd boy called David. (Based on the first half of 1 Sam 16)

Gameplay: 

As young David, travel back to your hometown Bethlehem. There, you'll meet Samuel who will change your life forever. On the way, avoid Philistine raiding parties and wild animals, and learn the state of your people.

Story: 

Seemingly out of nothing, David is invited to the king's court. Out of everyone in his nation, the boy is chosen to help the king with a mysterious problem... he'll have to keep his own future secret. (Based on the second half of 1 Sam 16) 

Gameplay: 

The journey to Gibeah reveals a nation in distress. You follow the soldiers to the capital, by clearing the road, overcoming obstacles and confronting resistance together.

Story: 

Once again the raiding Philistines terrorize the land. It comes to a stand-off between two armies. David believes he can change the tide by facing the enemy's warrior-champion… Goliath. (Based on 1 Sam 17)

Gameplay: 

At the front lines, it becomes clear how different you are. Eager to end the giant's scolding of your people and your faith, you spread tales of defeating the giant. Will you convince the king to let you represent his army? And will you face the giant, alone?

 Story: 

David's reputation as warrior soars. The king gives him mission after mission. But when the nation sings his name, how is his fame received at the palace? (Based on 1 Sam 18).

Gameplay: 

Play as David performing military stealth mission together with your men. This includes invading Philistine strongholds as well as neighboring enemy tribes.

Story: 

What will you do when the one you look up to, is out to kill you? David faces a powerful enemy within his own people, and has to choose whom to trust. (Based on 1 Sam 19,20,21)

Gameplay: 

David needs to run for his life, avoiding King Saul, the weapons he throws, and the soldiers he sends. Your own army turned against you! Run all the way to Rama, city of the prophets. Will you be safe there?

Story: 

Jonathan (Saul's son) tells David to run for his life. He escapes to Gath, a city he once attacked, but gets captured and brought in front of the ruler. David acts like he's gone insane to avoid execution.

Gameplay: 

Play Jonathan's game, pick up Goliath's sword in Nob (temple city), travel to Gath.

Story: 

Having lost everything, being hunted like a dog, David faces his darkest days. But in the caves of Adullam, his influence grows, to great result (Based on 1 Sam 22-23)

Gameplay: 

Lead your team through the mountain passes. Free the city of Keilah. Deal with the consequences of leading well.

Story: 

Growing more and more powerful, David has the option to end his misery with precision strikes. But if he does, he will sin. (Based on 1 Sam 24,25,26)

Gameplay: 

Start off in the deep caves, avoiding Saul and his entourage. Until the levels take a complete turn at night and David's job is to get as close to Saul as possible.

Music:

Story: 

Tired of being hunted, David does the unthinkable; "serve" the enemy. Living amongst the giants he once fought, he makes them believe he is one of them. But the battles he fights have quite the opposite purpose. (Based on 1 Sam 27,28,29)

Gameplay: 

Enlist. Win the trust of Philistine commander Akish and grow in stature.

Story: 

Rejected by both his own king, and the enemies he served, David faces death threats from his own men, after their wives and children are abducted. (Based on 1 Sam 30)

Gameplay: 

Talk to the Warlord-Kings. Travel to Ziklag. Discover tragedy; chase down the Amalekites to undo the past, without loosing the loyalty of your men.

Team leaders: Ruben and Efraim have developed film, music, stories and apps for various clients collectively gaining over 4 million downloads.
